Penitent Procession

 The faithful seek divine intervention; relief from suffering… offering penance for their sins, a march public of fasting, flagellation, and prayer.

A church knight and his compatriots, often lead by a demagogue priest and followed by flagellants… Sinners in a dying world seeking penance through a publish showing of faith. These men and women travel the civilized lands on foot, walking until their feet bleed to show just how righteous their cause. Forbidden from riding on steed, and may only be carried by another if they are too ill or injured to walk, they escort a holy reliquary from church to church, seeking forgiveness from every holy man they meet.
